Warp Vanguard

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Warp Vanguard is a game. This policy explains the small amount of data it handles, why, and how to have it removed. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

The short version

What is stored on your device

Your progress, settings, best scores and preferences are saved locally on your device. Uninstalling the game removes them.

What is sent to our server, and why

Warp Vanguard has online leaderboards. When a score is submitted, this is sent:

DataWhy
An anonymous player id Generated automatically by the game. It identifies your rows on a leaderboard so your score can be ranked and updated. It is not linked to your name, your email, your device, or any account you hold anywhere else.
The display name you choose So other players can see who set a score. You choose it and you can change it. Please do not enter your real name — see below.
Run results — score, hits, accuracy, stability, duration, which lane The content of a leaderboard entry.
A replay trace of the run's controls Anti-cheat. The server re-plays the run to confirm the score was actually achieved, which is what keeps the boards meaningful. It records control inputs only — nothing about you or your device.

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, location, advertising identifier, or any device identifier.

Feedback you send us

Under System Config there is a Feedback button. It is entirely optional. If you use it, what you write is sent to us — nobody else ever sees it, and it is never shown in the game or on a leaderboard.

DataWhy
What you type, and which of the four subjects you picked The message itself. There is a 600-character limit. Please do not include your name, your email address or anything private — the panel says so before you send. Nothing comes back down this channel; if you want a reply, the panel also shows our contact address, and writing to it is your choice rather than something the game does with your data.
The version of the game you are running, and the stage you last played A bug report is not actionable without them, and neither is something you could reasonably be asked to type.
Your device model and screen size — for example “Android 14 Pixel 8” and “844×390” — and, only if the game has just crashed, the error message it caught Half of all bugs in this game have been one device family's bug, and a layout bug is one screen shape's bug. The model is a name millions of devices share, read once from your browser. It is not a device identifier, nothing is derived from it, and it is never used to recognise you or anyone else. No advertising ID, device ID or serial is read at any point, and we do not read your language either.
Your anonymous player id The same one the leaderboard uses. It is attached so that a limit on how often feedback can be sent can be applied, and so that Delete my runs can find and erase your feedback too.

A message written while you are offline is held on your device and sent the next time the game is online. It is discarded unsent if it is more than a week old. Nothing else about you is attached, and we do not ask you for a reply address, because we have no way to write back to an anonymous id and no wish to hold one. If you want an answer, email us — the address is on the panel and at the bottom of this page — and then we hold whatever you chose to send us, which is entirely up to you.

Choosing a display name

The name you type is shown publicly on leaderboards. Please do not use your real name or any personal information. Names are filtered automatically, and we may remove or reset any name that is offensive or impersonates someone.

Every leaderboard entry carries a report this link. Use it if a name is offensive, contains someone's real name or personal information, or impersonates someone. Reports are reviewed, and a name that draws enough of them may be reset automatically. A report never affects anyone's score.

Why we are allowed to hold it

We rely on our legitimate interest in running a public, competitive leaderboard. A board only works if it is public and if entries stay put, and that is what a player is doing when they submit a score. We do not ask you to consent to anything, because there is nothing here you would be consenting to beyond the leaderboard itself.

You can object to this at any time, and you do not need a reason. The two controls below are how — see Your controls.

Who processes it

Leaderboard data is stored with Supabase, our hosting provider, acting on our instructions under a data processing agreement. It is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Like any web service, Supabase records technical request logs that include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to build any profile of you, they are not joined to your leaderboard entries, and they age out on the provider's own schedule.

One request happens without you doing anything: when the game starts, it asks our server which versions of each board the server currently verifies, so it can tell you before you play a stage that your build needs an update to post scores. That request carries no player id, no name and no score — nothing about you — and nothing is stored from it. It is an ordinary web request, so it appears in the provider's technical logs like any other, as described above.

How long it is kept

Leaderboard entries are kept indefinitely — that is the point of a leaderboard, and weekly boards are deliberately frozen when their week closes so results stand as a permanent record. There is no automatic expiry. What there is instead is a way for you to remove your own entries whenever you like.

Feedback is different. A message is kept until we have dealt with it, then for 90 days, and nothing is kept beyond 12 months. You can also delete yours at any time with the control below.

Your controls

Both of these live in the game, under MY DATA — on the leaderboard screen, and in System Config. Neither asks you to prove who you are, because your device already holds the only identity involved.

ControlWhat it does
Rename my runs Changes the display name on every entry you hold, on every board, at once. Your scores and their positions are untouched. If you want your chosen name off the public boards, this is usually the control you want.
Delete my runs Removes every entry you hold from every board, deletes the replay traces that went with them, deletes any feedback you have sent us, and deletes the anonymous id itself. It cannot be undone.

Two limits on renaming, so you know why it might refuse. It is once a day — the first change is always immediate, and only a second change within the same day has to wait. And a name that has been reset by moderation stays reset; renaming skips those entries. Deleting them is never blocked.

Deleting your leaderboard data does not affect your local progress or your personal bests — those never left your device. Deleting the app does not delete leaderboard entries, so if you want them gone, use the control before you uninstall.

If you can no longer use the controls

Email hello@gb-il.cloud with the subject “Delete my data”. Please be aware of a real limit: entries are not linked to any name, email or account we can look you up by, so without the id held on your device we may not be able to identify which entries are yours. A display name is not proof — anyone can read one off a public board. Where we can act, we will, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

We will always act on a report that an entry contains someone's real name or other personal information, or that a name is offensive or impersonates someone — those we remove or reset without needing to establish who is asking.

Children

Warp Vanguard is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. There are two free-text fields in the game — the display name, and the optional feedback message — and both are labelled asking you not to put personal information in them. If you believe a child has entered personal information in either, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published here and the date at the top will change.
